It is alleged that he had a love marriage with a Muslim girl, due to which he was murdered. He had returned home only 10 days ago. The deceased has been identified as Santosh Kumar, son of Satyanarayan Chaudhary, resident of Bahuara village. He was killed for having a love marriage.

This incident took place in Bahuata village of Patepur police station area of Vaishali district. The dead body of a youth named Santosh was found hanging on a mango tree in this village. As soon as information about the dead body was received, people gathered nearby. After this the police reached the spot and started investigating.

Angered by the murder of Santosh, people blocked the Patepur-Samastipur main road and started creating ruckus. After a lot of effort, the police pacified the people and took the body into their custody and sent it to Hajipur Sadar Hospital for postmortem.

Mosarat had fled from Vaishali to Delhi three months ago. There both of them got married according to Hindu customs. After this both of them also had a court marriage. Local people told that Santosh used to go to Shaukat’s house to milk the cow, during this time he had established a love affair with Mosarat.

Santosh and Mosrat had returned to the village only 10 days ago after getting married in Delhi. After this the police had recorded statement 164 before the court. After police action, Santosh’s body has now been found hanging from a tree. Regarding this, Mahua SDPO Saurabh Suman told the media that based on the statement of the victim’s family, a case has been registered and investigation has been started. The family members have alleged that Santosh’s in-laws murdered him.

3) In August last year, Ali shot dead a 16-year-old Hindu girl in South Delhi.

4) On February 19, 2021, Laiq Khan alias Safiq Khan attacked Neetu with a hammer and brutally murdered her after she rejected his marriage proposal.

5) In November 2019, 18-year-old Neha was murdered and her body was stuffed in a suitcase by her live-in partner Luqman and his brothers Armaan and Shamsad following a fight between the couple.

Uttar Pradesh

1) On May 27 this year, pregnant Seema Gautam was murdered by her live-in partner Mohammad Naved in Shahjahanpur.

2) Chanda Singh, a widow and mother of two daughters, was framed by Arif Hussain, who posed as Guddu Singh. Hussain strangled Chanda to death when she refused to offer Namaz. This incident took place on February 14 in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh (UP).

3) Abuses like “child of an infidel”, insult of Hindu deities, beating by Muslim husband Faheem Qureshi and in-laws and dowry harassment forced Varsha Raghuvanshi to commit suicide in February last year.

4) On March 4, 2022, a Hindu SC girl studying in class 9 was kidnapped by a man named Sahil Mukarram, who raped and later killed the girl by feeding her poison. The matter has come to light from Saharanpur.

5) In March 2022, Shakir and Faiz murdered Sushilavati, resident of Bulandshahr and usurped her house.

6) In September 2022, Junaid, Sohail, Arif, Hafeez, Chhote and Karimuddin were arrested for the rape and murder of two minor sisters in Lakhimpur Kheri.

7) In a shocking incident, Mohammed Sufiyan pushed 19-year-old (17 according to Zee News) Nidhi off the fourth floor of an apartment in November last year. Nidhi’s family has alleged that he was pressurizing her to convert to Islam.

8) In a heartbreaking case, Wasi Ahmed killed his wife Uma Sharma alias Arfa Fatima by giving her an electric shock on December 22. Police had recovered the victim’s body from her bedroom in Lakhimpur Kheri district on December 24.

9) In September 2022, national level Kho-Kho player Babli Rani (24) was strangulated to death by railway laborer Shahzad (26) when she protested against the rape attempt.

10) In October 2021, Nisha, a Hindu woman, was murdered by her husband Dr Iqbal for refusing to convert to Islam. Iqbal, already married and a father of four, trapped Nisha by telling her that he was a Hindu and when the victim came to know about her Muslim identity, he said that everyone can follow their religion. The couple have two daughters. However, Iqbal starts pressuring Nisha to convert to Islam. This incident has come to light from Bareilly.
